A Perfect Birthday: How I Celebrated My Birthday This Year

Few weeks ago it was my birthday, and let me tell you, I had such a fabulous time! From my birthday cupcakes and cute presents to exploring new places, it was the best experience.

So how did I celebrate this year?

During the day:

My day started in Ladurée in Convent Garden, where I had a coffee and pastries while catching up with my friend. We sat at the porch with the gorgeous view of Covent Garden’s market and indulged on French pastries.

After that, we took a short stroll in the area, and went to check out LSE campus. By the end of the afternoon I had to rush back to my apartment to get ready for the evening.

I was wearing: Top from Mistress Rocks, Coat from Missguided.

The evening:

I spent the evening of my birthday with my boyfriend at Claridge’s, a fabulous 5* hotel in Mayfair, London.  The hotel decor absolutely blew my mind and I couldn’t stop taking all these pictures below.

The hotel’s bar staff were so nice and they even got me complimentary cake once they heard it was my birthday. I had the best time and everything about that evening became a night to remember.

I was wearing: Dress from Topshop, Necklace from Thomas Sabo.

During the weekend:

The next day I had to wake up super early to catch a flight to Edinburgh for my birthday weekend. We stayed at Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor hotel. It turned out to be the perfect hotel to stay at considering the comfort, location and price.

I have heard so many good things about Edinburgh prior to arriving, but still Edinburgh definitely exceeded my expectations. It is a gorgeous-looking city built amongs hills with a medieval Old Town, new town and a Castle over the city. The peak of our trip was the 40 minutes hike we had to do climbing over to Arthur’s Seat to see the incredible views from Holyrood Park. Other attractions we loved include Calton Hill and Dean Village.
